In the late 80s/early 90s I loved the "Madchester" sound. Whilst The Stone Roses and The Happy Mondays were getting all the attention, another Manchester band was going about their business, releasing one great single after another. Their best known song is probably 1990's "This Is How It Feels", but my favourite Inspirals song is the brilliant "Dragging Me Down" from 1992 which you can find at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nt4SNfcd72s
They reformed a few years ago and are still going. Whilst they're not having chart success anymore they still have a good following and are a popular live band.
